Farmony Inc. is a 501c3 religious charitable organization approved by the Federal Government. Our mission is to promote the spirit of the natural world.  We hope to accomplish this through your experiences here rather than sermons or lectures. Members of all religions are welcomed .  We offer the opportunity for people of all walks of life to be more deeply connected with what has been created.

Our gates are open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 AM - 4:30 PM for anyone visiting for any of the following reasons: Volunteering, attending any of our free classes, donating food for the animals, attending services that give you a closer connection to the plants and animals,if you just want to talk with us, hiking, glamping or camping, picnicking, purchasing items grown on our farm, or just getting out into nature. If you would like to volunteer at times other than those listed above, please contact us.

There is no fee, and even though we still have all of our bills to pay, we are not requesting a donation.

ADDRESS:

2202 Walnut Creek Rd

Marshall, NC 28753

DIRECTIONS:

FROM  ASHEVILLE, (Weaverville) -

Take I-26 West to Weaverville and take Exit 19A to 25/70, to Marshall & Hot Springs.

Marshall is about 10 miles from this exit. In Marshall turn right at the second traffic light onto Walnut Creek Rd.

Go 1-1/2 miles. We are on the right just 2/10 mile past Smoky Mtn. Trail Rides and Bison Farm which are on Lee Ramsey Rd. Don't turn on Lee Ramsey Rd. Keep going, (slowly), 2/10 mile. Do not turn across a wooden bridge. Keep going 1/10 mile after the wooden bridge. Watch for a cut out sloth sign on your right that says, "Hands-on Wildlife Interactions" at our entrance. If you don't go too fast you will see this in time to enter the driveway.

The street sign on our driveway says "Nature's Way".

NOTE:

Approach the driveway slowly. It drops off from the main road quickly but is very easy if you don't go too fast. If you miss our driveway, DO NOT try to make a U-Turn into the driveway. You will likely get stuck. When entering, stay more towards the creek side than the pavement side. This will be less of a drop from the paved road.

Also, the bridge is actually very strong and safe even though it may not appear that way.

Parking is just a few feet across the bridge to the left, or for compact or mid sized cars there is also parking to your right just after the bridge.
PLEASE DO NOT PARALLEL PARK.
From there, follow the signs up Kangaroo Ct.

The walk is a "moderate hike" 1/10 mile, but uphill on a gravel road. If you think you might have any problems with this, you can call us, and we will be happy to give you a ride up to the interactions. It is best to text or call when you are 10-15 minutes away, as most people do not get reception in our parking lot.

If you are coming in an RV or have a trailer, please call before you visit for parking options.

At this time we do not have any food available. There are options nearby and you are welcome to bring your own. There are picnic tables available just outside the building and also next to the peacocks.

We need volunteers for a wide variety of tasks. Please contact us if you are interested in helping with building enclosures, electrical, plumbing or basic carpentry work, fencing, animal care, guide, collecting and cutting firewood from our property, picking up donated items, and many other tasks.

WE ARE ESPECIALLY LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP PUT IN A SUBMERSIBLE WELL PUMP AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

ALSO, A MECHANIC THAT CAN COME TO OUR FACILITY TO WORK ON GAS AND/OR SMALL DIESEL VEHICLES.
Volunteers would be great, but we will pay reasonable price for help with either of these. Either way, please contact us if can help with these projects.

WHEN YOU VISIT

We can always use the following:

-Fruits, vegetables, meat , bread or any type of food that you would not use. Even egg shells and orange peels. We use a lot of meat, apples, bananas, blueberries, kale, and carrots, but any food items will be put to use.

Our chickens and pig will actually eat most any food you don't want. You can even put any left-overs in a bag and bring it in. The chickens and Emma, our pig, will love it. The wolves love meat that is a bit past it's prime for humans. Our Guinea Pigs love orange peels, and since they can't store vitamin C, this is actually very good for them.

- We can also use any amount of shredded paper. We make fire logs out of this to heat the building the animals live in and that  can save a lot of $ on heating. We can also use volunteers to help us make the paper logs.
